The short version
- Who we are: Aguacero is a brand of POSIBLEX LLC, a New Mexico company. We sell water-purifying showerheads at tryaguacero.com.
- What we collect: The info you give us when you shop or reach out (name, contact details, shipping/billing address, order history) and info collected automatically as you browse (device, IP address, cookies, and pixel data).
- How we use it: To ship your orders, run your subscription, provide support, send you marketing when you've asked for it, prevent fraud, and improve our store.
- We don't sell your data for money. But like most online stores, we use advertising cookies and pixels (Meta, Google, TikTok) that share some information with ad partners. Under California and some other state laws, that can count as a "sale" or "share." You can opt out anytime.
- Your choices: You can access, correct, or delete your information, opt out of targeted advertising, and unsubscribe from marketing at any time. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal.

2. Information we collect
We collect personal information in three ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically as you use our site, and information we receive from service providers and partners.
2.1 Information you provide to us
- Contact and identity details — your name, email address, phone number.
- Order and shipping details — shipping address, billing address, and the products you buy.
- Payment information — your card details are collected and processed by Shopify Payments (our payment processor). We do not store or receive your full card number. We may retain limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits, and the transaction result for order records and fraud prevention.
- Account information — if you create an account or a subscription, the login and profile details associated with it.
- Reviews and user content — any product reviews, ratings, photos, or feedback you choose to submit.
- Support communications — the messages, emails, and information you share when you contact customer support.
- Marketing preferences — your email and SMS sign-ups and consent choices.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
When you visit or interact with our site, we and our providers automatically collect:
- Device and technical data — browser type, operating system, device identifiers, language, and screen settings.
- Network data — your IP address and general (approximate) location derived from it.
- Usage and browsing data — pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, session duration, and how you navigate the store.
- Order history and interaction data — what you've viewed, added to cart, purchased, and how you engage with our emails and ads.
- Cookies and pixel data — see Section 4: Cookies and tracking technologies.
2.3 Information we receive from others
We receive information from the service providers that help us run the store — for example, order and payment status from Shopify, subscription status from Recharge, delivery updates from carriers, and audience or measurement data from our advertising and analytics partners.
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Fulfill your orders — process payments, ship products, send order confirmations and shipping updates, and handle returns or exchanges.
- Manage subscriptions — set up, bill, renew, modify, and cancel subscriptions through Recharge.
- Provide customer support — respond to your questions, requests, and issues.
- Send marketing (with your consent) — deliver email and SMS promotions, product news, and offers when you've opted in, and personalize what we show you. You can opt out at any time (see Section 14).
- Prevent fraud and secure the store — detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, and security threats.
- Measure and improve — run analytics to understand how our store performs and to improve our products, site, and advertising.
- Advertise — show and measure ads on platforms like Meta, Google, and TikTok, including reaching people with interests similar to our customers.
- Comply with the law — meet our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, and enforce our terms.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to run the store, remember your preferences, measure performance, and deliver and measure advertising.
Types we use:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site and checkout to function (e.g., cart, security). These can't be switched off.
- Analytics/performance — help us understand how the store is used (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Advertising/targeting — used to deliver and measure ads and to build audiences (e.g., Meta/Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel).
How to opt out or control tracking:
- Browser controls — most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor the GPC signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information and targeted advertising for that browser (and, where we can identify you, your linked account).
- "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." Use the link or mechanism described in Section 6 and Section 7 to opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Platform opt-outs. You can also adjust ad settings directly with Meta, Google, and TikTok, and use industry tools at the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative.
5. When your information is collected — summary
For clarity, here are the main providers involved and what they do:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Shopify (incl. Shopify Payments) | E-commerce platform, checkout, and card processing |
| Recharge | Subscription management and recurring billing |
| Klaviyo | Email and SMS marketing |
| Loox | Product reviews and ratings |
| Meta/Facebook Pixel | Advertising and conversion measurement |
| Google Analytics & Google Ads | Analytics and advertising |
| TikTok Pixel | Advertising and conversion measurement |
6. How we share your information
We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information for money.
- Service providers. We share information with the vendors that operate our store on our behalf, including Shopify (platform and payments), Recharge (subscriptions), Klaviyo (email/SMS marketing), Loox (reviews), shipping carriers, and fraud-prevention and hosting providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners. We share certain data with Meta, Google, and TikTok through their pixels and tools to deliver and measure advertising and to build audiences.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests and legal process, protect our rights and property, prevent fraud, and protect the safety of any person.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Important — "sale" and "sharing" under California and other state laws. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies and pixels (Meta, Google, TikTok) means we may share information such as your device identifiers and browsing activity with these ad partners for cross-context behavioral advertising (also called targeted or interest-based advertising). Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA — and under similar laws in other states — this kind of sharing may be considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information, even though no money changes hands.
You can opt out of this at any time by:
- Enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser (we honor it automatically), or
- Using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism on our site, or
- Emailing legal@tryaguacero.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share."
7. Your privacy rights
7.1 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of parties we've disclosed it to.
- Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (see Section 6).
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — direct us to limit the use of any sensitive personal information to what's necessary to provide our services. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right, so no separate limitation link is needed; if that changes, we will provide one.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
How to submit a request. Email legal@tryaguacero.com, or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism on our site. You may make a request to know or delete twice within a 12-month period at no charge.
How we verify you. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on a request to know, delete, or correct. We typically do this by matching the details in your request (such as your email, name, and order information) against what we already have on file. We only use the information you provide for verification purposes.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written proof that you authorized the agent to act for you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity directly.
7.2 Other U.S. state residents
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others as their laws take effect — have similar rights, which may include the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information, the right to a portable copy, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. To exercise any of these rights, email legal@tryaguacero.com. Where the law provides an appeals process, you may appeal a decision by replying to our response; if we deny your appeal, your state's attorney general may provide a way to submit a complaint.
8. Data retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to fulfill your orders, manage your subscription, provide support, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or anonymize it. Retention periods vary by data type; order and transaction records are generally kept for the period required by applicable tax and commercial law.
9. Security
We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, including using established providers like Shopify that maintain PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing and encryption. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any issues.
10. Children's privacy
Our store is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact legal@tryaguacero.com and we will delete it.
11. International data transfers
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States by us and our service providers. If you access our store from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Third-party links
Our site may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services that we don't own or control (for example, social media platforms or partner sites). This policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
13. SMS and email consent and opt-out
Email. When you sign up for marketing emails, you consent to receive them from us through Klaviyo. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by emailing support@tryaguacero.com. We may still send you non-marketing transactional emails (such as order and shipping confirmations).
SMS/text messages. If you opt in to receive text messages, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Your consent to marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message. You'll receive one confirmation and then no further marketing texts.
- For help, reply HELP or email support@tryaguacero.com.
- We will not share your SMS opt-in or phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you, such as posting a notice on our site or emailing you. Your continued use of our store after an update means you accept the revised policy.
